You may imagine my surprise when my mother called the other day and told me that 'some guy from the internet called (her) and wanted to know when the artwork I owed them would be done'.

I don't know who, if any of you, did this.   I am going to assume it was a wrong number and a big coincidence.

It will not happen again.  Period.

YIKES!!

I understand you're putting this up to coincidence. But this day and age, that's no longer likely...

I can't help but feel that some one who may have commissioned you and paid through Paypal, may have gotten your name when making the payment. (the same way you see their names when anyone makes a payment to you.) Then they could have used "beenverified dot com" or some sort of equivalent, to find you. I've searched my own name on that site and managed to find my old address and phone number of where I lived with my mom, and then the address where I lived in college.

:iconlll-plz:

Sorry to damage your calm, but I really wish there was a way to the screen people who commission you; or if there was like some sort of blacklist against all creepy commissioners. Hopefully getting your name and address unlisted in the white pages can help prevent shit like this.
